Clark County Public Works, in cooperation with the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada and the City of Las Vegas, is designing future proposed improvements to the Western Clark County 215 Bruce Woodbury Beltway between Summerlin Parkway and Craig Road. Public information meetings will be held to provide project information and to receive public comments concerning proposed project improvements.

The proposed improvements include:

  • Beltway widening between Summerlin Parkway to Craig Road by the addition of one lane in each direction (northbound and southbound)

  • Auxiliary lane in each direction between Lake Mead Boulevard and Cheyenne Avenue

  • Interchanges at Lake Mead Boulevard and Cheyenne Avenue

  • Soundwalls in select locations

For the convenience of the public, two identical public information meetings will be held:

  • Wednesday, Sept. 7 between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Mountain Crest Neighborhood Services Center, 4701 N. Durango Dr. (north of Craig Road), Las Vegas

  • Thursday, Sept. 8 between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Sun City Desert Vista Community Center, 10360 Sun City Boulevard, Las Vegas

Members of the public are invited to attend one of the meetings at their convenience anytime during the meeting hours and submit their comments in writing on a comment sheet provided at the meeting or in person to a public stenographer who will be present at the meetings. The meetings will be held in an open-house format to increase the convenience to the public and to provide for one-on-one discussion between the public and project staff.

In addition to the comments received at the meetings, additional comments can be submitted until 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23 to: Clark County Public Works, Beltway Comments, P.O. Box 554000, Las Vegas, Nevada, 89155-4000.
