Commissioner
Woodbury Officiates

Clark
County dedicated Pebble Park at the corner of Pebble and
Eastern Sept. 20. Commissioner Bruce Woodbury, who
serves the residents of District A, made the opening
remarks, which were followed by refreshments and a free
showing at dusk of the children’s film “Arthur and
the Invisibles.” The dedication was open to the
public.

The
park has been anticipated eagerly by the residents of
this area, as it has been in the planning and
construction phases for several years. The
county worked with the neighborhood by holding several
public meetings to get input from residents.

Pebble
Park is approximately 6.5 acres, located around a flood
control basin. The cost of the park was about
$1,625,000. The county used desert landscaping as a
water conservation tool. The park includes a covered
children’s playground, a water play area, picnic
pavilions, a walking path and open turf areas.
