Career
Fair to be Held October 9 at Cashman Field
Clark
County will hold its first Career Fair on Tuesday,
October 9 at Cashman Field from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Anyone
seeking a career in public service is encouraged to
attend to see what opportunities are available in county
government.
“By
holding this event each year, we hope to draw a diverse
group of people from all over the area who might not
otherwise apply for a job at the county,” said Therese
Scupi, director of the Office of Diversity. “This will
be an annual event and we’re hoping that anyone who
was ever interested in a career in public service will
come by and talk to us.”
Several
county departments will be represented at the fair,
including Air Quality and Environmental Management,
Aviation, District and Justice courts, Development
Services, Fire, Information Technology, Juvenile Justice
services, Public Works and the Water Reclamation
District. Representatives from the Regional
Transportation Commission and University Medical Center
will also be on hand.
Clark
County employs more than 10,000 people in 38 departments
and is an equal opportunity employer. For more
