Clark
County is accepting applications through Oct. 22 to fill
a vacant seat on its five-member Citizens Advisory
Council (CAC) for Lone Mountain.
CAC members are appointed by the County Commission and
serve in an advisory capacity to the board. The
Lone Mountain CAC serves as a direct channel to
Commissioners Chip Maxfield and Tom Collins and provides
input and recommendations on the future of Lone
Mountain.
The Lone Mountain boundaries are bordered by Moccasin
Road to the north, Cheyenne Avenue to the south, Decatur
Boulevard to the east and Puli Road to the west. This
area is within Commissioner Maxfield’s District
“C” and Commissioner Tom Collins’ District
“B.”
The Lone Mountain CAC
holds public meetings twice monthly on Tuesdays at 6:30
p.m. Town
residents are encouraged to attend and share input and
concerns with the CAC, who in turn disseminate the
information to Commissioners Maxfield and Collins.
The meetings are held at the
Mt. Crest Neighborhood Services Center at 4701 N.
Durango Dr.
Applicants must be 18 years old and a registered voter
with a primary residence within the Lone Mountain CAC
boundaries. Interested parties should call Clark
