Public Outreach
Irene
Navis, planning manager for the Nuclear Waste Program,
recently gave a presentation to the Sun City Summerlin
Nuclear Science Club. The club has over 150 members.
Various topics dealing with nuclear issues are discussed
on a monthly basis. National
experts in radiological issues are frequently asked to
participate as speakers. Ms. Navis provided an
update of
Clark
County
’s role and impact assessment work as it relates to
the Yucca Mountain Project.

gained a lot of listeners, as it received over 1,800
