Trip to Utah Shakespearean Festival Set for Oct. 11-12
The
Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 South McLeod Drive, has scheduled an overnight trip for seniors ages 50
and older to Cedar City and the fall season of the 2007 Utah Shakespearean
Festival. A motor coach will depart from the center at 8 a.m.
Oct. 11 and will return at 8:30 p.m.
Oct. 12. Price is $168 per person for a double room and
$210 for a single room. The price also includes
transportation and show tickets. The deadline for
payment is Sept. 10.
Participants
will arrive in Cedar City Oct. 11 in time to eat a no-host lunch at the Pastry Pub
before attending a matinee performance of “The
Tempest,” William Shakespeare’s nod to magic and
wisdom. The group will check into the Abbey Inn and eat
dinner at their leisure at nearby restaurants of their
choosing. After dinner, the group will see “Art” by
Yasmina Reza, a contemporary comedic play.
On
Friday morning, the Abbey Inn offers a complimentary
continental breakfast and there are free festival
activities before a matinee performance of Agatha
Christie’s “The Mousetrap,” the English world’s
longest running play. After the play, the group will
board the bus for the ride home, stopping in St. George,
Uta hat the Cracker Barrel restaurant for a no-host dinner.
Payments
by cash or check can be made by mail or in person at the
Winchester Cultural Center’s front desk from 10 a.m. to
9 p.m.
Monday through Friday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday or 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
