Clark
County Public Works held a public information meeting on
March 28 concerning proposed design plans for the
Northern Clark County 215 (Bruce Woodbury Beltway). The
plans presented proposed improvements to the Beltway
section from approximately 2,000 feet west of Tenaya Way
to approximately 350 feet west of Aviary Way (the
nearest major street is Decatur Boulevard).
Public
Works encourages the general public, particularly
property owners in the area, to submit comments
regarding the project. All comments must be submitted no
later than Friday, April 13, 2007, at 5:00 p.m. to:
Clark County Public Works, Beltway Comments, P.O. Box
554000, Las Vegas, Nevada, 89155-4000.
For
members of the public who were unable to attend the
meeting, the design plans will be on display throughout
April at the Clark County Government Center, Second
Floor, Public Works Department Lobby, 500 South Grand
Central Parkway, in Las Vegas.
The
plans include the construction of two additional main
lanes in each direction. Interchanges at Jones Boulevard
and Decatur Boulevard are proposed as well as
sound walls at select locations.
A
noise assessment study was conducted to measure the
traffic noise in the project area and to estimate the
future projected noise levels. Based upon state and
federal noise criteria, sound walls were included in the
design plans where warranted. See
map.
