Clark
County Public Works will present the public with
proposed Western Beltway widening design plans on
September 14 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A public
information meeting will be held at the
Willows
Community Center
, at
2775 Desert Marigold Lane
in Summerlin South.
The
plans include adding one additional lane in each
direction on the Beltway between
Hualapai Way
and
Charleston Boulevard
. Also included are soundwalls in select
locations. A noise assessment study was conducted
to measure the traffic noise in the project area and to
estimate the future noise levels if the proposed
improvements are constructed. Those levels were
then evaluated based upon state and federal noise
criteria. Sound walls have been included in the
design plans where warranted. See
map.
Members of the public are invited to attend the meeting
anytime during the meeting hours to learn about the
project and to submit comments. The meeting will
be held in an open-house format to increase the
convenience to the public and to provide for one-on-one
discussion between the public and project staff.

provided at the meeting or verbally to the public
