Many
property owners have called the Clark County
Recorder’s Office expressing their concern after
receiving a solicitation letter in the mail from a deed
service company.
The
National Deed Service, Inc. emphasizes to the property
owner the importance of getting a copy of their deed.
Most property owners should have received a copy of
their deed at the time of closing or with their mortgage
package. This company offers their service in providing
a certified copy of a deed for $69.50. The National Deed
Service, Inc. is not affiliated with the Clark County
Recorder’s Office nor any state or governmental
agency.

letter.
The
company is doing business across the country using a
different name and charging nearly $100 in some states
for this service. The charges are not illegal, but are
significantly more than what a property owner would pay
if requesting a copy directly from the Recorder’s
Office.
The
Clark County Recorder’s Office charges only $1.00 per
page and $4.00 to certify a document. Requesting a copy
of a deed or any document is very simple. A customer can
visit the Clark County Recorder’s Office at the Government
