All Day Music Festival Features All-Star Line-up

The circus is coming to town when the International Ska Circus (ISC,) a festival of reggae and Ska music, takes place March 11 from noon to 11:00 p.m. at the Clark County Outdoor Amphitheater, 500 S Grand Central Pkwy, Las Vegas, Nevada. Doors open at 11:00 a.m. The ISC is presented by Jefferies-Phebus and Clark County Parks and Recreation.

General admission tickets are $25.00 at the gate. VIP tickets are $60, which entitles the ticket holder to a free meal, drink specials, access to a private air-conditioned area, and opportunities to meet the band members. Advance tickets are available at www.ticketmaster.com or  www.internationalskacircus.com.

Furthering the spirit of the Ska Summit of 2003 at Desert Breeze Skate Park (which drew more than 10,000 fans,) the ISC brings together Ska (reggae’s ancestor,) reggae, and alternative artists from around the globe for a celebration of these varied styles. The ISC will make its American debut appearance in Las Vegas after sold out European jaunts in London and Prague.

While bringing together legendary acts like The Skatalites (originators of the 60's Ska sound,) Reel Big Fish (current champions of the new wave) and The Toasters (2-tone stalwarts with 4500+ concerts under their belts,) the festival also throws open doors to rising talent. Bands such as Boston 's WestBound Train and California 's Debonaires will be joined by the Latin sounds of La Banda Skalavera. The high energy sounds of Suburban Legends combine with the mania of L.A.'s classic Fishbone, Skeletones and Voodoo Glow Skulls to create an energetic celebration.

The "Official Pre-Party" for the ISC takes place on Friday night, March 10 at Jillian ’s in downtown Las Vegas, at 450 Fremont Street. The party will feature drink specials, contests with event sponsors, a celebrity bowling tournament featuring band members, and performances throughout the night by Voodoo Glowskulls, Goldfish Don't Bounce, The Super Pineapples.

The public is invited to bowl with favorite Ska band members as part o f the Celebrity Tournament. To register, call Josh Coutts at 702-332-4706. Tickets for the Pre-Party are $10 in advance and $15 day of show. For tickets call 702-759-0450.

Additional sponsors are Miller Lite, Jillian's of Las Vegas, Take1 Nite Club and Megalith Records.

No food or beverages may be carried in for this concert, and no pets are allowed. Alcohol will only be sold to persons with proper identification. The Clark County Amphitheater features lawn seating and ample free parking.
