Holiday
trees represent the essence of the season. Yet,
the fate of approximately 250,000 trees is the landfill;
there is an alternative.
If live trees are chipped
into mulch instead of put in the trash, they become
valuable organic material used in landscaping projects
to help conserve soil moisture and keep plants healthy.
Make a difference this year and recycle your live
holiday tree at one of over 15 drop sites throughout the
valley. There is no charge to recycle your tree;
all we ask is that you remove the tree stand and
decorations so they don’t contaminate the mulch and
ruin the chipper.
For more information on the
Holiday Tree Recycling Committee, how you can get
involved, and tree drop sites, please call 702-258-3205
seven days a week during the hours of 8 a.m. to
5 p.m., or visit our website at www.springspreserve.org. Give
