Center hosts International Food and Folklife Festival
April 22
Over thirty countries from around
the world will be showcased with ethnic food vendors,
music and dance performances, colorful costumes, cooking
demonstrations, handmade craft sales and a hands-on
craft area, at the free annual International Food and
Folklife Festival at the Government Center Amphitheater,
500 S Grand Central Pkwy, on Saturday, April 22, 2006
from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Food booths include Basque,
Portugese, Italian, Korean, Japanese, Mexican, Pan
American, German, Filipino, Thai, Chinese, Caribbean,
Hawaiian, Irish, American Indian and Assyrian. Reggae
band Bonafide will perform in concert from 7 p.m. to 8
p.m. No carry-in food or beverages and no pets are
