Lawn Mower Exchange Program Launched
Clark County Commissioners will hold a news conference at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 23 to announce the launch of the Clark County Lawn Mower Exchange Program.
The event will be held at the Clark County Government Center Amphitheater, 500. S. Grand Central Parkway. County commissioners and Department of Air Quality and Environmental Management (DAQEM) staff will provide a summary of the county’s program designed to aid in the decrease of ground-level ozone pollution.
The Lawn Mower Exchange Program, presented by the DAQEM, will begin accepting applications on Monday, June 23 from residents who would like to exchange their high-polluting gasoline-powered lawn mowers for more efficient, non-polluting Neuton® electric mowers.
The lawn mower program is funded by a grant from the Emissions Control Department of the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles.
