There are still spaces available at Camp Lee Canyon Summer Resident Camps. Each camp is one week in
length. On the Edge Camp is an adventure recreation camp for teens ages 13-15. Arts Camp and Omni
Science Camp are two themed overnight learning camps for children age 8 to 12. Arts Camp is July 8 to 13 and Omni Camp is July 15 to 20 at Camp Lee Canyon, 50 miles northwest of Las Vegas in the Spring Mountain Range. Cost is $400 per camper.
Each camp has special activity sessions based on the camps theme, as well as traditional camping activities such as hiking and campfires. Arts Camp has sessions in percussion performance and instrument building, creative movement, improvisation and acting, and visual art. Highly qualified staff will teach the sessions and prepare for a show for parents and friends on the last day of camp.
Omni Camp has a space theme this year, and there will be activities related to, astronomy, physical science, meteorology and robotics. Campers will design their own planet and build the alien life forms that live there. They will build robots and program them. Other activities include stargazing, solar cooking and rocket launching.
Campers sleep in cabins with trained counselors. A nurse is in residence at the camp, and professional
cooks prepare nutritious and appetizing meals and snacks in the fully equipped commercial kitchen. Campers must bring suitable clothing and a sleeping bag or blankets. All activity supplies, meals and a camp T-shirt are provided. Parents or guardians are responsible for transportation to and from camp.
