Hollywood Recreation Center Launches New Class

Interior Design Class Begins Sept. 17

Hollywood Recreation Center will add a new interior design class to its already-diverse schedule when the new session begins in September. Students have two chances to catch the class each week. Beginning Sept. 17, students can either attend the class from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays or 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Thursdays at the center, 1650 S. Hollywood Blvd. The cost for the six-week session is $32. Space is limited to the first 16 participants.

Dennie Fidler, a California state-accredited interior designer and Space-Planning Specialist, will teach students how to use their own ideas and creativity to change the look of their homes. She also will teach techniques to refine “vanilla spaces” with cabinet makeovers, borders and paint, including the faux painting method.

Those interested in the class can sign up at the Hollywood Recreation Center front desk after Sept. 2. For additional information, call 455-0566 or visit the Web site at www.accessclarkcounty.com/parks.
