Come and visit beautiful Sunset Park! While you are enjoying your day at the park, don’t forget to feed the ducks or fish around the Lake (stocked every two weeks with catfish or trout); step onto the eight lighted basketball courts; swing away the day or night in any of the eight lighted tennis courts or wing your way around the 18-hole disk golf course. Reservations are made on a January to December basis.

Area A-500
Located in the middle of the park where the road curves, large group area. Amenities include:

  • 2 twenty pound grills
  • Volleyball court
  • Water fountain
  • 5 double water spigots (must get prior approval at the time of reservation)
  • Electricity:24 outlets at 110 volts, 20 amps each. (fees must be paid at the time of reservation)
  • Adjacent parking with handicapped accessibility
  • Playground and restrooms nearby
  • Shaded area

Area B-100
Located east of the lake, west of park. Amenities include:

  • 2 twenty pound grills
  • Water fountain
  • Horseshoe pits (must bring own horseshoes)
  • 5 double water spigots (must get prior approval at the time of reservation)
  • Electricity:16 outlets at 110 volts, 20 amps each. (fees must be paid at the time of reservation) 
  • NO shade

Area C-250
Located south side of the park road, between the lake and the pool. Amenities include:

  • 1 twenty pound grill
  • Water fountain
  • Volleyball court (bring your own volleyball) 
  • 1 water spigot (must get prior approval at the time of reservation)
  • Electricity:8 outlets at 110 volts, 20 amps each. (fees must be paid at the time of reservation)
  • Restrooms located in pool building, open year around
  • Groups having amplified music must face speakers away from pool
  • Shaded Area

Area "D"
Located south of the park road, west of the pool facility and east of Eastern Avenue. Amenities include:

  • 3 grills; 2 twenty pound and 1 ten pound grill
  • volleyball court (bring your own volleyball)
  • 1 water spigot (must get prior approval at the time of reservation)
  • Electricity:8 outlets at 110 volts, 20 amps each. (fees must be paid at the time of reservation)
  • Parking lot nearby
  • Restrooms located in pool building open year round
  • NO shade
  • Groups having amplified music must face speakers away from pool

Area "F"-2000+
Located east of Eastern Avenue between the main park entrance and the railroad tracks. Amenities include:

  • 30' diameter covered pavilion
  • 2 twenty pounds grills
  • Volleyball court (bring your own volleyball)
  • 1 water spigot (must get prior approval at the time of reservation)
  • Water fountain
  • Horseshoe pits (must bring own horseshoes)
  • Electricity:8 outlets at 110 volts, 20 amps each. (fees must be paid at the time of reservation)
  • Large adjacent parking lot with overflow gravel lot
  • Lighted area/shade area

Service charge subject to change according to County contract. Additional security requirements may apply depending on the nature of activities or is alcoholic beverages are available at the event, and /or during periods of high security alert.

$200 for large groups with parties of 500 or more $40 per concession per day
Electrical Power Hook-up
$50 per user group

PARK RULES & REGULATIONS

Advertisement:
Approval must be received from the Director of Parks and Recreation or his/her designee to advertise anticipated events via: radio, television, flyers, tickets, or any other means thereof. Unexpected advertisement can result in a dramatic increase in the attendance.

Alcohol
Persons or groups wishing to sell alcoholic beverages must have the approval of the Board of County Commissioners. Application for permission for such sale or barter must be made through the Director of Parks and Community Services or his/her designee at least sixty (60) days prior to the event. NOTE: The sale of alcoholic beverages requires a license under Clark County Code, Chapter 8.20. The sale of alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited except in areas designated by the Director of Parks and Community Services or his/her designee. Consumption of alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited except in designated picnic areas only. It is prohibited to consume alcoholic beverages on roadways, parking lots, playgrounds, swimming pools, athletic fields, tennis courts and at youth events.

Amplified Music
Approval must be received from the Director of Parks and Recreation or his/her designee to have amplified music in County Parks and Community Services facilities. Excessively loud music from external or internal vehicle speakers or portable radios is prohibited. Excessively loud music is defined as music at a level which annoys other park users or park neighbors.

Animals
No animals (except seeing eye dogs) are allowed in buildings. The only animals allowed in parks are dogs and cats under control of handler and on a leash no longer than 6 feet. Any individual(s) engaging in or conducting animal shows, events or obedience schools must acquire permission from the Director of Parks and Recreation or his/her designee to schedule such events at any Clark County facility with the exception of Dog Fancier's Park.

Cancellations/Refunds
Any and all changes to your reservation must be made to this office no less than 15 days prior to the reservation date. Full refund will be issued if cancelled in person or in writing at least 2 weeks prior to reservation date. $15 Administrative Fee will be retained if cancellation occurs less than 2 weeks but at least 72 hours prior to reservation date. No refunds on cancellations with less than 72 hours notice.

Concessions
This is available for non-profit organizations only. All organizations wishing to sell or barter goods other than alcoholic beverages in Clark County facilities must have the approval of the Director of Parks and Recreation or his/her designee.

Fires/Firearms/Fireworks
The carrying, possessing or discharging of any firearms, firecrackers, rockets, torpedoes, or other fireworks, air guns, slingshots, boomerangs, or martial arts paraphernalia within any County facility or park without written approval from the Director of Parks and Recreation or his/her designee is prohibited. All fires are prohibited except in public stoves, grills, braziers, or fire pits provided for that purpose or as approved by the Director of Parks and Recreation or his/her designee.

Overnight Camping
Camping overnight within a Clark County park is prohibited unless authorized by the Director of Parks and Recreation or his/her designee.

Park Hours
Park hours are from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., all persons shall leave the park facility no later than 11 p.m. except with the approval of the Director of Parks and Recreation or his/her designee.

Reserved Areas
Any group that exceeds the number of participants registered on the request form by more than 15% as determined by Clark County Parks and Recreation representatives, will be assessed and billed the service charge difference. This may also be grounds for refusal of future permits.

All groups will confine themselves to their reserved area except for recreational activities. Absolutely no equipment may be moved from or into the area without permission from the Director of Parks and Recreation or his/her designee.

Reserved picnic areas must be left clean and all trash must be put in appropriate trash receptacles. If picnic area is not left in acceptable condition, a cleaning/repair service charge will be assessed and billed to the responsible party. Park Use Request Forms (organized groups) will be processed under Clark County Code, Section 19.04.050.

Security Guards
All Groups are subject to acquire Security Officers for their event based on the anticipated attendance. The required number of Security Officers will be determined according to the expected attendance. The current service charges as set by the Board of County Commissioners will be in affect each year.

Special Equipment/Amusement Services
The location of special equipment i.e., dunk tanks, beer trucks, etc., requires prior approval by the Director of Parks and Community Services or his/her designee. Parking is permitted only in designated areas. These amusement service are allowed: Bouncing Houses, Pony Rides (except Area B), and Dunk Tanks.

The Director of Parks and Recreation or his/her designee reserves the right to take necessary actions to protect public health and safety as related to usage of Clark County Parks and Recreation's facilities and programs. In addition to possible misdemeanor penalties under Clark County Code, Section 19,04.080 any violation of a facility rule may result in cancellation of future permits and forfeiture of all service charges.

**A WRITTEN REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF THESE ITEMS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE RESERVATION OFFICE NO LATER THAN THIRTY(30) DAYS PRIOR TO EVENT DATE. (Groups in excess of 300 may required a Fire Department Special Event Plan Permit)
