The Board of County Commission chartered the Shooting Park Advisory Committee i n 2002. Its first meeting was in September 2002, and it has been chartered annually since then. There function is to provide advice to the county commission on the shooting park's design, operations and management via an annual report to the Commission. The public is welcome to attend, and all meetings are held in conformity with the open meeting laws. The Advisory Committee and county staff continue to work on the development of the Clark County Shooting Park on 2,900 acres of land transferred to Clark County by the United States Legislature."

Advisory Committee Charter |
The Advisory Committee's scope of authority includes:

Follow County Commission direction throughout the duration of the committee assignment.

Provide input on policies, procedures, designs and programming for the Park as appropriated.
-
Act as a recommendation and review committee and report back to the County Commissioners.
-
Act as an advocate for the Park. |
