"Jazz at Winchester" CCTV Channel 4
Tune in to Clark County Television (CCTV) Channel 4 to watch concerts at Winchester Center co-sponsored by the Las Vegas Jazz Society. Shows feature trumpeter Walt Blanton's Echoes of Ellington Sextet, performing the music of Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn. Each show will repeat Sunday at 5:30 p.m. and include brief interviews with the musicians.
The program features the outstanding Nevada Jazz Orchestra with soloists like saxophonists Phil Wigfall and Marc Solis, pianist Stefan Karlsson and drummer Chris Benham as well as the Fred Haller Quintet; singer Laura Taylor; pianists Bill Cunliffe and Joey Singer; and the Rudy and Edie Aikels Quintet, featuring Edie's vocals.
