Step back into holidays past on the Heritage Street of historic homes, where the restored homes will be in old time trim. Travel back to the 1920’s, ‘30’s, 40’s and ‘50’s to enjoy the trees, ornaments and household decorations that made holiday seasons glad for southern Nevadans.
Decade Highlights include
1920’s: The Beckley House, a California Bungalow, showcasing the golden age of handcrafted glass ornaments.
1930’s: The Babcock/Wilcox House, in the Minimal Traditional style, representing the decade of the Great Depression, tough times for many families, but the trees were still as beautiful as ever.
1940's: The Townsite House, government temporary housing, illustrating the war and the holidays coming together in a clash of patriotism and tradition.
1950’s: The P. J. Goumond Heritage House, Tudor Revival, highlighting America and Southern Nevada getting used to a world at peace and a time of prosperity with larger, brighter and more complex lights, ornaments and decorations.
