Lane Closures Continue on Twain Avenue for Sewer Pipeline Rehabilitation Work
The Clark County Water Reclamation District (District) has announced new lane closures on Twain Avenue to allow for continuing sewer pipeline rehabilitation work.
Expect the following 24-hour traffic impacts on Twain Avenue:
“In order to complete the sewer work in the area, the main entrances to two neighborhoods, Pecos Villas and Heritage Square, will have to be closed for about six weeks,” said Sam Scire, assistant general manager for the District. “We apologize in advance for the inconvenience this may cause, but this work is necessary to keep the sewer system functioning for years to come.”
To access Pecos Villas, residents can use the fire access gates located off of Pecos Road. To access Heritage Square, residents can use either the entrance located at Pecos Road and Colony Avenue or the entrance at Centennial Street near Sandhill Road.
While work is taking place, drivers should take precautions and allow extra time when traveling through the impacted areas. For more information and traffic updates, drivers can call the project hotline at 853-1333, or visit www.cleanwaterteam.com. |
