County Clerk Opening Office in Henderson
Office will be Open Thursdays, Fridays at Henderson City Hall
The Clark County Clerk opened a part-time branch office in Henderson on Thursday, Feb. 21, to better serve the needs of the residents and business community.
County Clerk’s Office staff will work out of Henderson City Hall from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, except holidays. (The County Clerk’s staff will be away from the office noon to 12:30 p.m.) Henderson City Hall is at 240 Water St. in downtown Henderson.
“We are excited to bring this increased level of service to the residents and businesses in Henderson,” County Clerk Shirley Parraguirre said. “Clark County is a dynamic and growing community and this new office gives us a much needed presence in the second largest city in the state.”
The County Clerk’s Henderson office will issue marriage licenses, administer oaths to notary publics, process notaries’ bond filings and accept fictitious firm name filings.
Anyone doing business in Nevada under a name that is different from their legal name must file a certificate of fictitious firm name with the county clerk in each county where they do business. This is commonly referred to as "filing a DBA,” which stands for doing business as. The certificate must be renewed every 5 years.
The County Clerk has six offices throughout the county, including the new Henderson location as well as offices in Laughlin, Mesquite, and downtown Las Vegas.
