Sixth Annual Djs for Pjs® Event to be Held April 25, 2008

The sixth annual DJS for PJSÒ event will be Friday, April 25, 2008, from 6:00 a.m. until 7:00 pm. The daylong event is designed to collect new pajamas for children in crisis and benefits charities throughout the Las Vegas Valley. Local disk jockeys will broadcast from four locations to encourage corporate and individual donations. Celebrities and elected officials are involved in the effort to collect pajamas and raise public awareness about the needs of children in distress.

The non-profit event is a cooperative effort between Consultants in Marketing, Inc., the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce Leadership Las Vegas Class of 2003 and major sponsors Wal-Mart, Inc., Station Casinos, Inc. and the Beasley Broadcast Group, Inc.

Participating radio stations are the Coyote Country 104.3 FM, fresh 102.7 FM, Today’s Soft Music, Classic Hits 96.3 KKLZ, Country Legends 790 and News Talk 720 KDWN.

On April 25, the DJs for PJsÒ collection sites will be the parking lots of Boca Park at Charleston and Rampart, the Wal-Mart store at Eastern and Serene, Sunset Station at 1301 West Sunset Road, and Santa Fe Station at 4949 North Rancho Drive.

Pajama donation receptacles will be available before the April 25 event in all Las Vegas area Wal-Mart stores.

Last year’s event collected over 12,000 pairs of new pajamas, far exceeding its goals and greatly helping local social service agencies provide new pajamas for neglected, abused and needy children. The recipient social service agencies this year are Child Haven, Girls and Boys Town, Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation, S.A.F.E. House, the Shade Tree Shelter, Variety Early Learning Center and the Women’s Development Center.
