OCTOBER:ADP=186.1, ALOS=16.8

After a trend breaking, record high of 941 referrals in April, we began to fall into the well-established pattern of reduced summer referrals. However, in July we hit another record high, 761, or 71 more than last year.

During the two periods in which referrals were experiencing unprecedented increases, the ADP in Detention maintained averages well below capacity, or 188 for April and 182 for July.  To date, 11/3/08, the ADP has been below capacity 236 out of 308 days (77%), with an overall annual Average Daily Population of 185, or 7 below capacity.  Additionally, 6/26/08 was the last day with an ADP above our capacity of 192.

That's a streak of 129 DAYS below capacity!

Our 2008 Results Report compares our "Pre-JDAI" numbers from fiscal year '03-'04, to our numbers from fiscal year '07-'08. We have managed to reduce our Average Daily Population by 24%, our Referrals by 12%, our Average Length of Stay by 13%, our Failure to Appear Rate by 10%, and our Recidivism Rate by 2%, all while still holding kids accountable.
