Fritz Reese

Director

Fritz L. Reese has been a resident of Las Vegas since 1966 and has been employed by Clark County since 1974. His education includes a Master of Arts in Public Administration from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Social Work from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Mr. Reese was appointed as the Director of the Department of Juvenile Justice Services effective Aug 18, 2009. Mr. Reese also oversees the ART and the Clinical Services Units; supervises the writing, submission and execution of various grants; supervises the activities of the Leadership Forum; and oversees the Juvenile Probation Peace Officers Standards Training (POST) Academy. In addition, Mr. Reese is chairman of the Clark County Management Systems Steering Committee and the Public Safety Community of Interest and is a member of Clark County's contract negotiation team.
 
In his 30+ year career in juvenile justice, Mr. Reese has served in a variety of positions, including Detention Youth Counselor, Probation Officer, Probation Supervisor, Detention Staff Supervisor, Admissions/Booking Supervisor, Supervisor at Spring Mountain Youth Camp, Manager of Probation, Project Director for Project 2000, Department Assistant Director and Acting Director.

  • Member of Society of Wine Educators
