CIVIL DIVISION 

Henderson Justice Court is in the process of adding additional Courtrooms. The expansion project is to be completed in the Spring of 2009. The following Court Schedules will be in effect until the Building Expansion is completed

COURT SCHEDULE UNTIL JANUARY 2009: 

     SMALL CLAIMS

Department 1 hearings are heard on Mondays at 8:00 a.m.  
 
Department 2 hearings are heard on Thursdays at 8:00 a.m.  

CIVIL HEARING

     Department 1 hearings are heard on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m.  
 
Department 2 hearings are held heard on Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. 

COURT SCHEDULE EFFECTIVE JANUARY 2009: 

     SMALL CLAIMS

Department 1 hearings are heard on Mondays at 9:00 a.m. in Courtroom 1

Department 2 hearings are heard on Tuesdays at 7:30 a.m. in Courtroom 1
  
     Department 3 hearings are heard on Wednesdays at 1:00 p.m. in Courtroom 1

CIVIL HEARINGS

Department 1 hearings are heard on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. in Courtroom 1

Department 2 hearings are heard on Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m. in Courtroom 2
  
     Department 3 hearings are heard on Mondays 1:00 p.m. in Courtroom 2

INSTRUCTIONS TO JUSTICE COURT CIVIL CASE LITIGANTS:  If you think that you might decide for any reason to appeal the decision of the Justice Court, it will be necessary for you to enlist the services of the Court Reporter to record the testimony and other evidence in your case.  A judge considering an appeal of the decision of the Justice Court reviews only the transcript of the trial in determining whether to affirm or reverse the Justice Court decision.  If you wish to request the services of the Court Reporter, it will be necessary for you to make arrangements at least one week in advance of the hearing on your case.
