If non-forwardable mail, such as your Voter Registration Card or sample ballot, is returned as "undeliverable" or indicating you’ve moved, you will be sent a forwardable notice advising you to update your address with the Election Department. You must do so within 30 days or your registration will be placed on inactive status.
Your registration will not become inactive if non-forwardable mail sent to your mailing address (rather than your residential address) is returned as “undeliverable.” Instead, your mailing address will be removed from your registration record. A new Voter Registration Card containing the change will then be mailed to your residential address.
