A Message For Victims
from your District Attorney
David Roger
| As District Attorney of Clark County , I am concerned that you have been, or may become, a victim of crime. Crime and its aftermath remain an especially disheartening phenomena of our time, and it is natural for victims to feel confused, frightened or angry at the disruptions of daily life which are a result of this unpleasant experience.
Historically, the concerns of the criminal justice system have focused on the accused, while the needs of victims have received only minimal attention. Justice, however, belongs to all citizens and I believe there have been great strides in recent years to relieve the inequity of this situation.
If you are a victim or a witness of victimization, these pages will provide you with information on our court system, and are designed to assist you in understanding the various steps of the criminal case in which you are involved. Of additional help is the Victim-Witness Assistance Center, which is available to provide information, assistance and support for victims and witnesses of crime.
I want to thank you for your interest and cooperation. If you have other questions or need further information, please call the Victim-Witness Assistance Center at the number listed below.
