Particulate Matter (PM-2.5 and PM-10)

 

  •  PM-10 State Implementation Plan (June 2001). A description of control measures and technologies to bring the Las Vegas Valley into compliance with federal health-based standards for particulate matter.
  •  Las Vegas Valley Visibility and PM-2.5 (May 2002). A study conducted by the Desert Research Institute to determine the chemical composition of haze and fine particulate matter in southern Nevada.
  •  Remote Sensing of Gaseous and Particulate Emissions from Onroad Sources (September 2002). An analysis by the Desert Research Institute of remote sensing technologies for use in evaluating emissions from onroad vehicles.
  •  PM-10 Saturation Study (February 2007). A field study to help understand the spatial distribution of PM-10 and assess the adequacy of the existing monitoring network to measure impacts.
  •  Milestone Achievement Report (MAR) (June 2007) A report prepared in compliance with the Addendum to the General Preamble for the Implementation of Title I of the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990 (40 CFR Part 52). It documents Clark Countys attainment of the 24-hour PM10 National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) and continued attainment of the annual PM10 standard.
  •  Natural Events Action Plan (April 2005). A plan describing the actions and programs DAQEM uses to mitigate the effects of high-wind events on levels of particulate matter in the Las Vegas Valley. (Click here to download complete document).
