History of Lone Mountain
The planning area obtained its name from Lone Mountain (elevation 3,334 feet) located north of Alexander and west of Hualapai. During the last ten years, Lone Mountain Centennial Hills Land Use Plan northwest area of the Las Vegas valley has experienced unprecedented growth. As a result of this growth, the City of Las Vegas and Clark County have worked together to update the land use plan for the northwest part of the Las Vegas Valley.
11/18/80 Ordinance 722 provides for creation of citizens advisory council and sets boundaries
04/4/00 Ordinance 2448 amend boundaries of Lone Mountain Citizens Advisory Council (to remove areas now a part of Lower Kyle Canyon CAC.)
