Biography

Clark County Commissioner Susan Brager is a 43-year resident of  Clark County. For the past 34 years, Susan has worked to improve education as a parent volunteer, school employee and as a school trustee.  Susan served three terms on the Clark County School Board from 1995-2006.   During her tenure, she served as President, Vice President and Clerk.

A realtor with Prudential Americana Group Realtors for the last 16 years, Susan previously worked for the school district in numerous capacities:   elementary school clerk, media clerk, physical education aide, special education aide and classroom aide.   Susan has served on a multitude of school committees since 1978 and has been involved in PTA since 1972.   Susan is a long-standing member of the Las Vegas Association of Realtors.

Commissioner Brager was sworn into office as County Commissioner for District “F” on January 2, 2007, and will serve a four-year term.

Commissioner Brager was selected by her fellow commissioners to serve in the following capacities:

• Member – Nevada Development Authority

• Member – Family & Juvenile Justice Services Policy and Fiscal Affairs Board

• Member – Southern Nevada District Board of Health

• Member – Southern Nevada Regional Planning Coalition

As a Clark County Commissioner, Susan also serves on the following regional boards:

• Las Vegas Valley Water District Board of Directors

• University Medical Center Board of Trustees

• Clark County Water Reclamation District

• Liquor & Gaming Licensing Board

• Clark County Redevelopment Agency

Susan’s previous public and community service has also included:

• Member - Debt Management Commission

• Member - Clark County Parks and Recreation

• Junior League of  Southern Nevada 

• Founding President, Spring Valley Bobby Sox Softball

Susan is married to Ron Wellman. She has three children and ten grandchildren.   Susan attended elementary and middle school in Clark County and her children all attended Clark County public schools and graduated from Clark High School.
