Obtain a Passport?
The County Clerk's Office only assists in processing passport applications. We do not produce the passport, which is a Federal document. Click on Passport for requirements.

Obtain photographs?
Many local post offices, drug stores, mailbox and copy centers take photos that meet the requirements of the U.S. Passport Agencies. Fees range from $8.00 to $15.00. Our office is looking into the possibility of providing passport photography services in the future, but we do not have that capability at this time.
How long does it take to...
Receive my Passport?
Normal processing time, per the U.S. Passport Agency on March 26, 2009, is approximately 6 weeks from the receipt of the application. This processing time will likely increase as we get closer to the second phase of the Western Hemisphere Travel initiative going into effect on June 1, 2009. Expedited service is 2-3 weeks door-to-door.
Why do I have to pay such high...
Passport Fees?
Passport fees are set by the U.S. Department of State and not the County Clerk's Office. When applying, you pay the passport fee and the security surcharge to the ''U.S. Department of State'' and the execution fee to the facility where you are applying.
