Obtain a Passport?

Obtain photographs?
Many local post offices, drug stores, mailbox and copy centers take photos that meet the requirements of the U.S. Passport Agencies. Fees range from $8.00 to $15.00. Our office is looking into the possibility of providing passport photography services in the future, but we do not have that capability at this time.
How long does it take to...
Receive my Passport?
Normal processing time is now approximately six to eight weeks. The County Clerk's Office is only an acceptance agency. We are not responsible for passports that arrive later than the estimated time posted. Processing times can vary depending on workload and unforeseen natural disasters. Individuals who may need to receive their passport sooner have the option of requesting expedited service. Normal processing time for expedited service is three to four weeks.
Why do I have to pay such high...
Passport Fees?
Passport fees are set by the U.S. Department of State and not the County Clerk's Office. When applying, you pay the passport fee and the security surcharge to the ''U.S. Department of State'' and the execution fee to the facility where you are applying.
