CHANGE IN CERTIFICATION FEES EFFECTIVE APRIL 2, 2007

Our office has been charging $3.00 per certified copy, irrespective of whether the copy was for court records or non-court records.   The Legislature amended NRS 19.013 sometime prior to 1997, increasing the fee for non-court certifications from $3.00 to $6.00.   The current administration continued to follow the practices of the previous administration charging the court certification fee of $3.00 for all certifications.

Now that we are aware of this error,  we must change our office practice to adhere to the statute.   Thus, effective April 2, 2007, we will charge the statutory fee of $6.00 per certified copy for all marriage records, together with the $1.00 per page fee, which makes the total for a certified copy of marriage license $7.00.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

CHANGE IN MARRIAGE BUREAU HOURS EFFECTIVE AUGUST 30, 2006

Pursuant to a hearing and a vote by the Board of County Commissioners held on August 16, 2006, an ordinance amendment was passed to change the hours of operation for the Marriage Bureau.  See below for the hours of each location.
