Notary Bond Inquiry Instructions:

  1. Click on the link at the bottom of this page to open the AiLIS Public Inquiry page for the Office of the County Clerk .

  2. To search by name, begin by clicking on the Notaries tab at the top of the page.  Enter the Last Name and First Name boxes for the party.

  4. Indicate whether it is to be an Exact or Like name search.  It is recommended that Like name search is selected rather than Exact because it is to forget the exact name as it was entered on the notary bond.  Note that the more narrow the search, the faster the response time.

  5. Once all of the information is entered, click on the Search button.
  6. Entries for the parameters given will be displayed.

  7. Click on the appropriate document number for more detailed information.  The actual document is not available for viewing, only the filing information is.

A search may also be done by Instrument # OR date the notary bond was filed, or by Document Type.

OR enter the Year, Month and Day to search by the date the notary bond was filed.

    2.  In the blue box to the right, the search can be narrowed further so that only notary bond records appear.

    3.  To do that, click on the + sign next to General to expand the selection, then select the box for Notaries .  (Note:  If the
General selection is not able to be viewed, click on the + sign next to Document Types).
