Southern Nevada has been home to native Americans for thousands of years and the stories from Nevada s cultural heritage are recorded for future generations on sandstone canvases. The overall pattern of the Government Center is like an ancient carving on a stone wall, an image that represents a community place recorded on the desert floor for future generations to discover. The rock art images reproduced in the canyon wall separating the Amphitheater from the Pedestrian Spine depict actual images found in the Southern Nevada desert.
