Who does the NJC train?

The NJC trains on request.  There are no classes offered on a regular basis that may be signed up for.  Requests may come from the following groups:

  • Businesses
  • Community Organizations
  • Governmental Groups

What kind of training does the NJC do?

The NJC trains in a variety of conflict resolution related topics which include the following:

  1. Conflict Resolution and Mediation Skills
  2. Alliance Building
  3. Valuing Diversity
  4. Communication Skills
  5. Consensus Building
  6. Negotiation Skills
  7. Mediation

How much time does training take?

The NJC customizes each training that it offers based on the skills participants wish to learn, the number of participants, and the time available.  In general, learning one skill requires hours of training.

How much does training cost?

There is generally no charge for training with a couple of exceptions:

  • Business for Profit
  • Mediation training (completion of 1 year volunteer service results in a rebate)
