A Brief History of Bunkerville

Bunkerville is situated along the Virgin River at the northeast corner of Clark County.  Bunkerville is rural and historically agricultural.  The area includes dairy and crop operations.  The residential development pattern is single family with lot sizes of approximately 10,000 square feet.  Bunkerville's original housing stock is located within the Town Center.  Several of the building carry historic significance since they date back to the period when Bunkerville was first settled (United Order Period, Pre-1881).  Two structures are currently listed on the  National Register of Historic Places and numerous other structures are eligible for listing.  Public services include a community center, library, volunteer fire department, elementary school and justice center.  Current population in Bunkerville is approximately 1,200.
