Policy and Analytical Services is an internal service division providing a variety of support services to the Board of County Commissioners, the County Manager and other County departments.
Administrative Support
This division manages a variety of Commission/Manager directed projects, and responds to concerns and questions received from the public. Staff coordinates, facilitates and provides general support for County-wide or cross-departmental projects, committees and task forces. In addition, staff provides oversight and coordination for a variety of functions including parking administration, facility usage, and contract administration.
The Board of County Commissioners agenda process is also coordinated within Administrative Services. The agenda coordinator and a team of clerical assistants are responsible for working with all County departments to ensure compliance with legal deadlines and the Open Meeting Law, producing the final meeting agenda, and providing support services at each Board meeting.
The Clerical Support Team is responsible for providing administrative and clerical assistance to management and analytical staff within Administrative Services, as well as providing front desk coverage for the County Manager's Office and Department of Finance.
Research, Analysis, Program Development
As staff support for the Board of County Commissioners and County Manager, this division provides research and analysis on a wide range of topics. Assignments may include such items as research into emerging governmental trends, benchmarking or "best practice" information from other jurisdictions, or providing analysis and recommendations for program development and enhancement. Other assignments include facilitating or project management of interdepartmental or intergovernmental projects. |
