Outreach staff provides eligibility determination for financial and medical assistance, social work counseling, as well as information and referrals to other available community services. Social Service workers visit Laughlin every Thursday; Mesquite on the first Tuesday of the month; Overton on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month; and Searchlight on the third Thursday of the month. A Social Service worker visits the MASH Crisis Center every Monday and Wednesday, and various shelters upon request, to determine program eligibility for individuals who are homeless or at risk for homelessness.

CCSS staff is available to assist with the discharge planning needs of patients from University Medical Center and local private hospitals. Eligibility determinations for agency programs are made and information and referrals are provided. Staff also visits homebound clients to assess eligibility for agency programs. Eligibility determination is based upon an assessment of need according to established agency guidelines.
