 Biography
Clark County Commissioner Susan Brager is a 47-year resident of Clark County. For more than 34 years, Susan worked to improve education as a parent volunteer, school employee and as a school trustee. Susan served three terms on the Clark County School Board from 1995-2006. During her tenure, she served as President, Vice President and Clerk.
A realtor with Prudential Americana Group Realtors for the last 20 years, Susan previously worked for the Clark County School District in numerous capacities: elementary school clerk, media clerk, physical education aide, special education aide and classroom aide. Susan has been involved with local education since joining the PTA in 1972. Susan is a long-standing member of the Las Vegas Association of Realtors.
Commissioner Brager was sworn into office as County Commissioner for District “F” on January 2, 2007, and will serve a four-year term. On Jan. 5, 2009, she was selected by her fellow commissioners to be vice-chair of the Clark County Board of Commissioners in addition to serving in the following capacities:
- Vice Chair – Clark County Board of Commissioners
- Member – Nevada Development Authority
- Member – Family & Juvenile Justice Services Policy and Fiscal Affairs Board
- Member – Southern Nevada Water Authority
- Member – Southern Nevada Regional Planning Coalition
- Member - Debt Management Commission
Susan’s previous public and community service has also included:
- Member - Clark County Parks and Recreation
- Junior League of Southern Nevada
- Founding President, Spring Valley Bobby Sox Softball
Susan is married to Ron Wellman. She has three children and 11 grandchildren. Susan attended elementary and middle school in Clark County and her children all attended Clark County public schools and graduated from Clark High School.
