Biography
Clark County Commissioner Tom Collins has been a resident of Clark County virtually all his life. He and his wife Kathy have been married for 41 years and have two children, seven grandchildren and are expecting an eighth grandchild in May 2009. A Western High School graduate, he attended Midwestern and Texas Tech universities in Texas as well as Clark County Community College currently the College of Southern Nevada and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The commissioner also is a PSI gradutate and completed the Nevada Power Company International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Apprentice Program.
Commissioner Collins was sworn into office as County Commissioner for Commission District “B” on Jan. 3, 2005, to serve a four-year term. He was elected to a second four-year term that began on Jan. 5, 2009.
