Court Mediation Program

What is Court Mediation?

It is the final opportunity given to parties in conflict to resolve their differences with the assistance of a mediator rather than having the judge decide.

How does Court Mediation work?

Once parties choose mediation, they go with the mediator(s) to a private room in the courthouse to begin the process. Parties are asked to sign the Consent to Mediate form. At the conclusion of the mediation session the agreement is written, signed and presented to the judge.

Where does Court Mediation take place?

  • Las Vegas Justice Court

  • Henderson Justice Court

  • North Las Vegas Justice Court

  • Boulder City Justice Court

  • Other courts by prior arrangement

How does Court Mediation benefit those participating?

  • Parties can craft a win-win solution.

  • There is no judgment issued against the defendant if an agreement is reached and completed.
